Thomas Lizotte
Thomas Lizotte is in his sixth year as director of bands at Cape Elizabeth High School. He first came to Maine in 1994 when he was named director of bands at Biddeford High School. He has also taught high school in Massachusetts, Connecticut and Florida. Tom has been the director and conductor of The Alumni Band since 2002.

He is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts (music education) and Northeastern University (journalism). His master’s degree is in wind conducting from the University of Massachusetts, where he studied conducting with Malcolm Rowell, jazz ensemble/pedagogy with David Sporny and trumpet with Walter Chesnut. He was recently named a teacher of the year by the Cape Elizabeth Educational Foundation.

A staff member of several Drum Corps International finalists, Lizotte is a member of the Massachusetts Drum Corps Hall of Fame. He is also a past president of the Maine Band Directors Association and former executive board member of the New England Scholastic Band Association, Massachusetts Instrumental Conductors Association and International Association of Jazz Educators.
